DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR, Office of Digital Learning (ODL), to execute ODL’s external communications plan, manage several social media communities, and develop compelling content to increase engagement across different digital communication channels. Will manage a content marketing and communications strategy that engages users across all of ODL’s digital channels, drives conversions for ODL’s portfolio of products, and establishes ODL and MIT as the thought leader in online learning. Channels to manage will include websites, newsletters, blogs, and social media networks. Responsibilities include managing editorial calendar for all of ODL’s digital channels; writing content to deploy on website, blog, and social media; launching the ODL newsletter; writing marketing emails for products; writing press releases and managing media outreach; coordinating across different units to gather and write high-visibility stories that engage our communities; attending conferences to represent ODL; and providing analytics on performance of the content deployed. The mission of ODL is to transform teaching and learning at MIT and around the globe through the innovative use of digital technologies.

REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree; a minimum of two years’ experience in a digital communications position and/or community management position; proficiency with copywriting, email marketing, social media platforms, and blog platforms; demonstrated success driving results through digital communications; familiarity with engagement analytics and reporting success based on data; and strong communications skills and impeccable grammar.
