EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIST (2 Positions), Office of Digital Learning (ODL)-Educational Technology (ET), to facilitate and support the use of the edX platform for the development and deployment of MITx course content (on-campus courses and MOOCs). Will navigate multiple disciplines and complete a variety of concurrent tasks/projects to assist the ET team and work with a range of technologies as required for course development, learning new skills as necessary. Responsibilities include working closely with manager of ET and senior educational technologists to provision courses, performing technical audits of course content, updating records, building sample course content, troubleshooting user access issues, and other duties as needs arise.
REQUIRED: a four-year degree; at least one year of experience using web-based learning, authoring, or publication systems; problem solving skills; working knowledge of standard web markup languages and best practices (HTML/CSS); self-motivation; excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with teammates, staff, and business partners; strong task management skills; attention to detail; and the flexibility necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing platform/environment. An interest in online education is preferred.
