MITx Grant Program

Fall 2015 MITx Grant Program now accepting proposals

LISA EICHEL

Open Learning is pleased to announce that the MITx Grant Program is now open and accepting new proposals, due January 15, 2016.  MIT faculty interested in funding for global and residential digital learning projects are encouraged to explore the program, which began last spring.  Proposal documents are now available on this website.

MITx Grant Program awardees will receive funding and access to support services to develop and operate modules that leverage the edX platform for both global and residential audiences.  The program is designed to support departmental digital strategies, to foster teaching innovation, to encourage research in teaching and learning practices, and to incorporate recommendations made by the Institute-Wide Task Force on the Future of MIT Education.

Proposals will be due on January 15, 2016.  Interested faculty members are encouraged to meet with ODL staff to help prepare their proposals. Appointments will be available throughout November and December on a first-come, first-serve basis.
