Bringing the Laboratory Experience to Student Homes

Professors Maxine Jonas and Steven Wasserman want their students to be able to apply their classroom experiences in their future careers. To bring the laboratory to students’ homes during remote instruction, students were sent a Digilent Analog Discovery 2 box and a breadboard. Students used these devices to learn about the behavior of electrical circuits and to build their own circuits. These devices allowed for the creation of hands-on activities that support students’ deeper understanding of course concepts.
