In this video, Dr. Julie Greenberg describes an innovative pedagogy of “designer/co-designer,” where students (designers) work closely in partnership with differently-abled clients (co-designers). This collaborative approach honors the contribution of the co-designer by highlighting his or her unique perspective and gives students the opportunity to create customized solutions that reflect genuine needs. Such an approach is transferable to other client-based disciplines and many entrepreneurial endeavors.

For additional detailed information about specific projects in Dr. Greenberg's class, as well as a more in-depth description of classroom activities, please view the full video of her presentation.
