MIT alumni poster competition

EdTechX series holds alumni poster competition and live event

Alumni of the MITx EdTechX series of MOOCs recently joined lead faculty member Eric Klopfer and Digital Learning Lab Fellow Elizabeth Huttner-Loan for a live stream event where they announced the winners of a poster contest.

In November, the team announced the contest, asking participants from the MOOC series to submit virtual posters and short videos documenting the projects that they had worked on during the courses. The winning posters will be featured on Klopfer’s lab website – the Scheller Teacher Education Program/Education Arcade, and can also be seen below.

The contest and live event was created to foster connections among alumni of the series of courses, and to continue their discussions on education technology.  The event had about 25 active participants, and about 300 views from mostly the United States, but also from the UK, India, Canada, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and several other countries.

If you have an idea for project like one of these, sign up now for the Design and Development of Educational Technology course, starting again on January 27th.  The course explores the uses of educational technologies and the theories that shape their development through interviews with industry
practitioners and MIT researchers.

Take a look at the winning posters. You can also watch the live event here.
