David Balcarras is an Instructor and Digital Learning Fellow in the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy. He teaches residential and online courses on introductory philosophy, ethics, and the philosophy of mathematics, mind, language, and AI. His research focuses on foundational questions in philosophy of language and linguistics, particularly on the nature of linguistic meaning. He has a BA Hons and MA in philosophy from the University of Toronto, and a PhD in philosophy from MIT.
