How can instructional improvements be implemented using Canvas and integrated tools? MIT faculty and instructors can apply to the Canvas Innovation Fund

Recipients of last summer’s Canvas Innovation Fund will describe how they have made and tested instructional improvements to their subjects on Canvas. Come to ask questions and learn from MIT faculty and instructors across departments:

  • Maria Khotimsky, Senior Lecturer in Russian, who reorganized the 21G.S63 Canvas site to clearly share learning goals and ensure social presence in asynchronous components of the class.
  • Richard Eberhardt, Program Manager for the MIT Game Lab, who teaches CMS.611 and needed to carefully balance project course work with appropriately timed feedback.
  • Tyler Smith, Instructor for TA Training and Introductory Biology, who is part of the 7.05 course team that needed a more effective way to present materials and reinforce student learning across many topics and digital resources.

Attendees are welcome to participate in Q&A, and share their experience. Residential Education staff will also be available to share information about applying to the Canvas Innovation Fund

RSVP to join.
